Krazy Kat is an american comic strip created by George Herriman; and was published in newspapers in 1913-1944. Its first appearance was in the New York Evening Journal. The characters' first brief appearance was in George Herriman's earlier comic, The Family Upstairs.

Krazy Kat has a love for another character, Ignatz the Mouse, and often chases him around. For this reason, Ignatz, who despises Krazy, tries to throw a bricks at his head (Krazy sees this as a sighn of affection) to prevent Krazy from catching up with him. A police officer, Offissa Bull Pup, continues to try and catch Ignatz to put him in jail (for throwing bricks at Krazy).
